BC Masters News

News in from BC Masters:

Season starter - Cowichan Lake
A little leg loosener to ease you into the 2008 racing season is this traditional 70 km road race. Known for its scenic climb from the Cowichan River Valley, the race starts and finishes in Cowichan Lake Sunday, April 6 at 1 p.m. Sign on is at the Scout Hall at South Shore Rd & Lakeview Rd. Because this race is put on by the BC Masters (not a club), we need and welcome help. If you're not racing and are available to help, please call Dave Steen at 250-246-3530.
Monitor the draft 2008 race schedule. Changes are being made frequently. For example, the 80 km time trial in the Duncan area at the end of August has a new date and we've just added two races in the area south of Nanaimo -- a 60 km circuit race on May 25 and a 40 km time trial May 26. Organizer Peter McCaffery has forged an excellent program for these two new events for what promises to be a great weekend of racing.
Many Masters riders enjoy competing in the BC Seniors Games. They will be held September 10 to 13 in Prince George. For more, check out bcseniorsgames.org
