The 2008 Cycling BC Annual General Meeting will be held on  Saturday October 25th, 2008 at the Head Office of Mountain Equipment Co-op:

The Cycling BC website has all the respective information regarding the election of officers and shortly we will be posting a proposed fee structure for the 2009 season.

As the sun sets on the 2008 road and mountain bike seasons, our attention shifts to the fall Cyclo-Cross BC Cup series.  With a jam packed BC Cup calendar, Nationals in Edmonton, and two UCI events on the west coast - 2008 is going to be a season to remember!  The BC Cup opener is Team Coastal 'Cross on September 13 in North Delta.  If you do not have a race licence, visit cyclingbc.net to purchase a late season UCI licence for only $92.  At a glance, the 2008 BC Cup Cyclo-Cross schedule is:

September 13th - 4th Annual Team Coastal Cross
 
Team Coastal Cycling would like to invite all cyclists from all disciplines and all ages to our 4th annual hosting of Cyclo-Cross in the North Delta Watershed Park on Saturday, September 13th, 2008.  
 
Mountain bikes are allowed in all categories, except  'A', also in an effort to introduce future bike racers to the sport we are hosting free kid's races.  We'll be using a modified, shortened, and flat version of the full course for the young racers...... continued

BCMCA Cobble Hill RR - Season Finale

HC on Saturday and Cherry Point RR on Sunday at 11:00 followed by lunch ....





See you at the September 7 finale
BCMCA invites you to the season's final race and awards luncheon this Sunday.
But don't forget the hill climb Saturday. It's short and sweet. Oh, and steep! The .6 km event is near Tony Hoar's home in Mill Bay at 3 p.m. There is no event fee to be paid, but you can pick up precious season championship points.
The 65 km road race Sunday is at Cherry Point just southeast of Duncan at 11 a.m. It is a double points event. Lunch (lavish) will be provided free, after the race on Sunday, to all BCMCA full members and volunteers. Others can buy lunch for $25 (plus taxes and tip).

Annual championship awards will be presented at the luncheon. So if you hold a trophy that is handed on from year to year, please bring it, all shined up, or ship it in advance.
