Email just arrived, Atomic / CVC Crit cancelled.I am writing to notify you that due to an unusually low number of entries, the organizers of this weekend's BC Cup Road Criterium have been left with no other option than to cancel their event.

Given the poor weather forecast for the weekend, and the extremely small number of pre-entries received just 3 days before the race, it is very unlikely that the race would have been a sporting or financial success. Though this cancellation is disappointing news, it appears to be the most prudent course of action for all concerned. It is important to protect the interests of our member Cycling Clubs and their volunteers; those clubs and volunteers organize the majority of cycling races held in BC.
We look forward to welcoming you to the next event in the 2008 Road BC Cup Series, the Kelowna Cycle "K-Town Classic" BC Cup Stage Race, to be held on August 2nd and 3rd in Kelowna.
